POD Practice Schedule
We encourage all swimmers to attend as many practices as possible. Swimmers who attend fewer than three practices per week will find that they have difficulty improving their strokes, speed, and endurance.
Please routinely check the practice schedule on this website, and note that there are exceptions for holidays.
Session 1 (6/15 - further notice)
|POD 1||POD 2||POD 3||POD 4||POD 5|
|POD 6||POD 7||POD 8||POD 9|
To find your swimmer's POD Group, login into your SwimTopia Account. In the upper-right of the website, find your name and in the navigation dropdown, click "My Account". Click on your swimmer's name, and on the right-hand side you will see their POD assignment affiliated with the 2020 season.
Swimmers are placed into groups based on ability and age. Survey results were taken into consideration whenever possible.
Please Note: County restrictions only allow a child to be assigned to 1 group at a time. Swimmers must attend their assigned practice group, and no make-up practices will be offered. Swimmers may not attend any practices outside of their own POD. If restrictions change we might revise the current schedule.
It took an extreme amount of effort to try and align POD Groups.
While we tried to accommodate as many survey requests as possible, some athletes may not have an optimal POD. Except for extreme circumstances, we are going to be unable to make adjustments considering the restraints outlined by the county orders, and the fact that our POD groups are currently full.
POD Practice Details
All LCC guidelines still apply during swim team practices with the following differences:
All swimmers: must arrive and depart in their swimsuit. Bring only items needed for swim practice. Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of practice.
6 & unders: Parents will be required to stay at the pool. Upon arrival, please find a place to sit and keep your child with you until the coach assigns them a lane and calls them to the pool. Since you must stay with your child we will not need volunteers during these practice times.
Swimmers 7 and up: Practice will be drop-off/pick-up only. There will be a parent volunteer to check-in the swimmer upon arrival. Swimmers will be directed to one of two sets of 12 chairs along the fence, where they can put their belongings and sit until their coach assigns them a lane and calls them to the pool.
Health & Safety
As stated in our newsletter, all LCC guidelines pertain to swim team as we are part of the club. There are a few points we want to re-iterate here:
- Please keep your swimmer home if they are sick or even seem a bit under the weather.
- Best practice would be to take their temperature before bringing them to practice.
- If your swimmer or someone in your house has a positive COVID case please inform your coaches and the swim team parent committee chair immediately.
- Please keep your swimmer home if they have been exposed to anyone with COVID in the last 14 days.
- All state and county guidelines apply to here.
